Recurring Invoices
For clients billed on a regular schedule (retainers, subscriptions), set up a Recurring Invoice once and let it generate automatically.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Frequency | Weekly, monthly, quarterly, or custom |
| Start date | When the first invoice generates |
| Send automatically | Send on generation, or save as draft for review |
Each generated invoice is a normal invoice — you can edit, send, and record payments on it as usual.
Recording Offline Payments
When a client pays by cash, bank transfer, mobile money, or cheque, use Record Payment on the invoice to log it:
- Open the invoice and click Record Payment
- Select the payment method
- Enter the amount (supports partial payments)
- Add an optional reference (e.g. a transfer reference number)
- Save — the invoice status updates to Partially Paid or Paid automatically
You can record multiple partial payments against the same invoice.
